The Market
Dining out is a regular part of the American lifestyle with franchise restaurants playing a very large role. In fact, of the $562 billion spent on dining out each year, most of the market share goes to franchised restaurants. Customers love to eat at places they know and trust and franchises provide this assurance. Fast casual sit down restaurants like Oakwood Cafe represent one third of all restaurant sales making them a vital part of the restaurant industry and one that is a large part of everyday life. Even when purse strings are drawn tight, people treat themselves to eating out—an affordable escape from their everyday environment. With the hometown and community focus, friendly service, and the selection and quality of Oakwood Cafe, we quickly become a part of our guest’s routine.
The Oakwood Cafe Way
Small Town Focus: We don’t need to be the biggest to be the best. Instead Oakwood Cafe is dedicated to small town America. Towns that appreciate good food, good neighbors and family life. Towns where home cooking still means something. Towns where you know the restaurant owner, where the owner works the restaurant and enjoys chatting with the customers and making sure that everything is done right.
Community Involvement: We believe that it is better to give than to receive. Oakwood Cafe owners are actively involved in their communities hosting charity events in the restaurant for churches and other charitable organizations on select Sundays during the year and contribute 3% of our sales to charities. With these events we open our restaurant and share a portion of the sales with the organization that enjoys a private party in our facility. By giving back we are blessed, while also showing the importance of community to the Oakwood Cafe.
Catering: Our outstanding meats, vegetables and BBQ lend themselves perfectly to catering for business meetings, special events and even weddings. This highly profitable segment of the business allows you to prepare catering orders for pickup or delivery without interrupting your dine-in business, creating a second revenue source.
Closed Sunday: There are more important things than working all the time, like your faith and your family. Oakwood Cafe is committed to keeping this balance and requiring franchisees to close on Sundays, with the exception of their charitable events. This allows everyone in the restaurant to relax and enjoy a day of rest while maintaining their priorities in life and honoring God.
Oakwood Cafe is not your traditional franchise. Instead, Oakwood Cafe focuses on servicing the underserviced markets in small towns by providing hometown meals at affordable prices. At the same time we reciprocate with our services to the town through community involvement, honoring God, and providing our employees with a balanced life by closing on Sundays. If this focus resonates with you and you would like to provide this opportunity to your town, we would love to hear from you.
